i do not believe she has, sky. And yes, Neph gets really busy, so don't be offended if she hasn't had time to respond (or, if her IM box filled up, she never got them).
Keep in mind that the basic principles she showed for photoshop still apply to PSP. Start with a transparent 512x512 image. You can bring in fabric as a layer. You can bring in the template image as a layer and make it semi-transparent so you can see both the template lines and your fabric layer(s). Delete from your fabric layers where you do not want fabric -- you can either use the eraser or select tools. Actually working your fabric layer will come down to your own artistic skill and choices -- how much you draw by hand, how much you work off of photographs, etc. PSP has layers just like PS, so you can do your shirt on one layer, play with the buttons on another, the collar on yet another, etc... if it serves your purpose and makes creation easier. There is no one way of doing this. When you have your clothing layer(s) complete, the biggest difference is how alpha channels are created. They are actually quite easy in PSP, and I already pointed you to cris' site for a tutorial: http://www.sluniverse.com/kb/article.aspx?id=10190 the only thing i would add to cris' tutorial is that AFTER you save your alpha channel but BEFORE you save your file, add a dark layer below everything else. The dark color won't appear in SL because the alpha will make it transparent -- however, this will prevent the white fringe problem. Also note, only keep one alpha in your files -- you can delete em under the Image menu. If none of this makes sense, then I would recommend taking a class or getting a book on PSP. but the best teacher is just trying, making mistakes, solving your mistakes, rinse repeat... |
