This just came across my CNET RSS feed. Looks interesting. I assume it's just the first of many cool new toys that will surface for CS4.

Thoughts?

I came across that a little while ago from the folks at Retouch Pro.

I think it's good because it brings back the old Filter Factory paradigm. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of weird filters and effects, but the true gems will start rolling in from the hobbyists in due time. It will bring them out to play once again.

I'm stuck on CS2 and I'll be here for quite some time. But I still have questions. Will it allow file I/O? Arrays? Load a PSD with composite or other image files? Third-party DLL loading? Will I be able to convert some of my filters to Pixel Bender?

I'm sure I'll find out about these things eventually. And learn yet another programming language... ugh. But will certaintly be worth it if it is cross-platform (I can't remember off-hand if it is).
