I realized when I went to go download the linden templates, they're totally different! I had gotten a new computer in the time where they must've switched from old to new, and now i'm quite confused (sooo many new layers!) I learned how to make tattoos with the old templates, but I don't have them anymore. Could anyone be kind enough to either teach me how to use the new templates or send me the old? I'd be forever grateful!

If I remember right, there was for a while a discrepancy between what was included with the individual templates vs. what came the Template Collection package. The Collection's templates included lots of sample garments (along with their respective alphas, saved as invisible layers), but the individually downloadable templates did not.
It looks like they've at least partially fixed that issue now. I haven't examined all the templates to be sure, but a quick glance at the individual Upper Body Template shows the same garment examples as the Upper Body Template from the Collection. I notice the UV map is still missing from the individual though, which is pretty silly.
By all means, read the instructions, as Charlotte said, but the bottom line is don't worry about all those extra layers. They're just samples. If you're uncomfortable having so many layers, feel free to delete everything except Overlay, Working Layer, UV Map, and Background. Those four are all you really need; all that other stuff is just there for reference.

Also be sure to check the sticky thread of links at the top of this forum for links to two alternate template sets. You may find them easier to use.
