I want to make a tatoo of a wheel with spinners, but honestly I cant find anything about animation and textures? Do need a script to constantly change the texture used? Any nudge in the right direction would be a huge help. Thanks for any reply!

animated textures are aranged in a grid pattern ie
0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 or xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx on one texture that grid is based on how many frames you have, the resolution of each frame and the resolution of the image as a whole, in this example each frame would be 128x128 and the texture would be 1 512x512 sheet with 16 frames of animation |

Danzin, if I'm reading your post correctly, you want to make an animated tattoo. Is that right?
You are aware that will require a prim, with a script inside it to drive the animation, right? We can't animate the textures on the Avatars. However, animating textures on a prim is easy, and the scripts are very simple. There are several ways to do it. You can animate the Rotation, Offset or Scale, or you can run a script that will change the picture shown on the prim face, like a flip book. (This is the one that Osgeld was talking about.) If you want to pick up the scripts and other info for the first three types, use the Find and look in my Picks for my Texture Tutorial. I have a whole discussion of animated textures there. (I'd give you the link, or at least the address in Benten, but I'm not at the right computer for that, at the moment.) If you want more information about the gird, then I suggest that you look at FlipperPA Peregrine's excellent explanation of the process here. Hope this helps! Robin _____________________
