Hi everyone I'm trying my hand at a prim skirt but have run into a snag. I need to solve it before I spend any more time on what I am doing. I made a larger round triangle shape for the basic skirt part and tried it on. I attached to the stomach and it worked fine. I plunked it on the floor and started adding some little pieces for a ruffle. After I attached a few, I decided to try the skirt on again. When I did, it wouldn't adjust back to where I had it before. I could no longer move it down to being floor length as it was before, nor could I move it to the left so the point was hidden inside my av. Moving it up and to the right was no problem. I'm sure it has something to do with the little prims attached..maybe the order I added them.. don't really know. Thanks for any advice on how to solve this!! Anjaleka

Your problem resides in that your root prim (the last prim connected) has changed and it is forcing your skirt to attatch by that prim. If you want to force it lower on the body, you need to place a square above the skirt, link it, then change it (the square) to an alpha texture or totally clear texture (names I have seen in game). This will now force the root prim to be the square and attatch it at the pelvis correctly. You may still hve to rotate it to fit on the avie correctly, however now u can lower it to the length you need. If you would like to see an in game version of this, please IM me (before I move and am out of game for several weeks) and I will show you.

also when you are making prim skirts, its best to attach them to the pelvis, and not the stomach, lets you go lower then if its attached to the stomach

or, you could just use "select linked prims" click on the part that was the root prim when it was attached previously, unlink that (shift+ctrl+c+) then unclick selected linked prims, click on the rest of the skirt section, and link it back to that part you just unlinked, that would set the root prim back to that.
