How can I make a plane absolutely flat?

Hi, Could anyone please tell me how one goes about making a prim flatter than .010? I'm trying to make a flat plane, like you see for plants or wings. The texture has transparent edges, but when you look sideways at the object, because of the thickness, you see a line. It's actually the line that I'm trying to hide. Apologies in advance if this is an obvious newb question :).

Thanks so much for your help.

You can hollow the cube and cut away one side, that might make it thinner but you will still end up with an edge as before. Hopefully it'll be so slight it won't be as noticeable.

You can also apply a clear or transparent texture to the edges if they are still present.

Yes, using a transparent texture on the unused sides will eliminate the lines.

IM me in-world and I’ll drop a all transparent texture on you if you need it.

Basically, it’s an all clear texture with an all black alpha layer. Just adjusting the transparency will never get a texture 100% clear.

I find it easiest to apply it first to the whole prim making it all transparent then applying the wanted texture to just the two sides needed.

This trick also works great for plants, water seams, and cutouts.

Hope this helps

In addition to cutting half of it and hollowing, you can also set its twist to 45 degrees on both ends.

In case you need yet more help, consider "torturing" the prim. Make a cube, turn it into a sphere, set the "dimple" to something like 0.49 and 0.51, then turn it back into a cube, shrink all of the dimensions to 0.01, and one dimension should be much thinner than the rest.
