So I started making t-shirts and I'm having a little problem putting a image on the back.. the image is round, I make it smaller but when I upload it to put it on a shirt it looks funky..

this is what it looks like...

I know its cause thats how the back with the shoulder blades and whatever but is there a way I can round it out alittle bit better?

thx

That distortion will change with every avatar body shape that wears the shirt, I am afraid. It will look quite different if worn by a man than it will when worn by a woman, even though one would think their *backs* wouldn't differ that much. Body proportion still does differ.

The issue here is that the texture being applied to the avatar mesh isn't mapped all that well. Some areas on the body distort more than others. Experienced designers learn by trial and error what areas they can put nice details in, and what areas are best left as plain as possible.

You could try making a counter-distortion - actually streach the design out a bit in the upper right and upper left. But once you get it perfect on that broad-shouldered male, a skinny guy or a girl wearing the same shirt will still see it distorted.

Try moving the design further down on the back. There is less distortion there.
