Question about selling clothing

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding selling clothing in SL. I'm a Poser clothing texturer and eventually would like to start texturing SL clothing. My question is, am I required to rent a place at a mall, or I can I do it from home, so to speak. Please forgive if this is a silly question, but I'm very new and slightly overwhelmed by all the information since joining.:)

Thank you,

Luna

You can build a store on your land. You might not get as much traffic as if you were at a mall or outlet somewhere. Some places are free to sell your wares, shop around and dont spend too much on a rental.

If it helps, Mochastyle currently offers space free. It's subject to the owners' whim, but we don't often turn people down. :)

Contact Julia Curie or me in world.

Also Luna.. If you make the items in Poser you will have to import to Photoshop or somthing of that sort and save as .TGA . I do not believe SL supports the poser files.

I could also be wrong but just in case

I think you're right Tipsy, but the models seem to be close, so maybe the conversion won't be too hard.

Thank you Tipsy Titan,

I do understand that the SL templates are completely different from the templates I use to texture Poser clothing (which I also texture in my paint program, using jpg files). I still have to investigate and learn more before I can start...so many questions. ;)

Take care,

Luna
