Texture Changed by Itself?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I did something wrong without realizing it.
I made a dress that includes a prim skirt and another prim part.
I liked the dress so much that I made about 10 versions of it in different colors. Each version is in a separate folder which contains a whole outfit.
This morning I came into my workshop to start packaging up the dresses to sell and found that the textures of the prim parts of all the dresses had somehow been changed to the texture of the first dress.
I fixed several of them and left SL for a while. And when I went back they were still fixed.
Except for one dress which now shows the correct texture on the prims but the wrong texture on the non prim parts! UNTIL I go into appearance edit. Then it looks right and shows the correct texture is assigned. But as soon as I close the appearance editor the colors change back to the wrong one again.
Thanks to anyone who can tell me what's going on here.

This does happen to me occasionally.

I'm sure you've run into the bug when you have to wait for textures to change when re-texturing an object with several prims because sometimes they pop back to the former texture. Same type of issue.

I've had this happen after changing the texture of a new hairstyle...pull one out of inventory and it's the original color and have to redo all 30 colors of the hair.

The only work around I've found is to take it into my inventory, then bring it back out to check it (wear it or rez it) before moving on to the next item.

Doesn't happen often, but when it does it's a real bugger.
