Hi, I am interested in knowing some of the designers designers names that design cool clothing in Second Life and see if they have real websites for designing real clothes as well in real life. I like some of the designs in SL but cannot point out the designers. Please give me a list of some of those clothing designers in SL and what are there real websites. I hope to hear from you soon. How do you define top 5? There are 30,000 people in SL, and probably 3/4 of them make clothing to some degree. If you're looking for some universally agreed upon measure of status, there isn't one, and there never ever should be. So what do you mean? The ones who sell the most units? The ones who make the most money? The ones with the biggest inventories? The ones who have the most store locations? The ones with the highest prices? My personal favorites? The ones who live at the highest altitude?

"Top" can mean a lot of things. Please clarify.

This is a very broad question to ask. Everyone has their own favorite designers and tastes. It really depends on what you are looking for. My tastes on things have changed and I have a wide range of clothing items. I have things that I loved in the past and now wonder what was I thinking when I bought them. I have a few fave designers and will check their stores out on a regular basis just to see if anything is new. But asking who are the top designers is really a question that will be answered based on different peoples perspectives.

I totally agree with you. I was hoping i would get a variety of different opinions in this forum bec I agree that people have different tastes. I would like to see what your fav top 5 are and what real websites they have, and I hope someone else will come up with another list because that will give me a chance to even explore more stuff for my own taste. I think part of people's hesitancy to answer this question is because, unlike RL, many residents have friends and aquaintances who design SL clothes, and to pick and choose amongst them could lead to hurt feelings.

LMFAO!!! yeah right when a linden asked the same question people ran to the boards....lol

the lindens had a fashion competition not to far back and people were urged to nominate and vote on thier favorites under new world notes hun try starting with those lists. lol a bit out of date but generally hasnt changed tooo much

Hi Abe, I think you will find that if you read some of the post and look at the pictures in the new products forum you will see right away who are the best in SL

Well...let's put it this way...as a male, I have yet to find shirts that I am satisfied with in game. I'd say there's a HUGE open market for male shirts in SL.
