All the tutorials seem to cover the basics about making tattoos which i can do already but none help with making full sleeve tattoos, all my upper arm tattoos only seem to cover the front and side of the bicep but never the tricep, so my question is....is there a tutorial on making a full sleeve tattoo here or on another site someone can give me a link for or tell me where im going wrong. All/any help would be appericiated.

Thanks.

I'm not sure why you'd need a specific tutorial for a specific type of tattoo. Once you understand the principles involved, you can apply them to anything you want to make.

Upload the skin/clothing templates as textures, and wear them on an avatar. Take a look at what part of the template corresponds with the tricep (or whatever other body part you'd care to ink), and then paint your tattoo image on the corresponding part of the template. Create your alpha channel accordingly. And you're done.

Even better, save a little trial and error by investing in a good 3D paint program like Photoshop CS4 Extended.

What more information do you feel you need?

My arms are fully covered in tat's, no problems or missed/bare areas.

You are not properly seeing how the template you are working on corresponds to the part of the avatar you are working on.

i can find two solutions :
first, easy : you download the templates on the website and work on it with a compatible image editor like the gimp. i won't explain more, there are lot of things on the web about that.
second, not easy : you search for a 3D texture editor with which you can draw on the 3D object, then you download a 3D SL avatar that you import. You make your texture using uvs and specific tools of your soft. For example, blender allows to make your own templates. I know that the SL templates are particular so with your image editor you transfer the texture made with the 3D texture editor on the SL templates. It is an idea and i know that im not fully clear because im tired lol so contact me for more info or post again :)

Also, if you are making tattoo textures for your arms and then wearing them as gloves, they are not going to go fully up your arms. Since the tricep is on the high part of your upper arm, that might be your issue. If so try wearing them as shirts or undershirts.

Otherwise, the only thing that I can think is wrong is that your templates are misaligned. Can't comment further without more information.

1.
This is a link to my tutorials (with some tattoo-ones):

2.
Actually most tutorials u read is 'basic' tutorials.
It's really hard to make tutorials for everyones needs. Most tutorials tryes to make you understand the basics but then you have to think for yourself creating what u need. Not everything can be explained. All original creations takes a lot of time and uploads to create!

Don't want to sound rude but... It doesn't sound as if u 'can do that already' if you don't know how to make a 'full sleeve tattoo'.

If you want to make a 'full sleeve tattoo' just put the tattoo on a layer that allow 'fullsleeves' like Underwear, Shirt, Jacket and make sure the 'sleeve length' is set to maximum.

P.S.
Are you tired? Awww...
If you find all the tutorials out there 'no good' and want to help others out:

1. Register a domain (might not be too expensive - but be sure to find the right webhost)
2. Install a blog-tool (might not take too much time - if you know your way)
3. Spend a lot of time trying to make the blog-tool work (might take some time, sorry)
4. Make it look as u want it to look (might take lots of time depending on your taste, sorry)
5. Learn how to create tattoos (u read the tutorials - so not that much time)
6. Fill in the gaps the other tutorials didn't cover.
7. Write a tutorial that is better!
8. Take pictures to illustrate!
9. Upload the pictures.
10. Create a blogpost with tutorialtext and illustrating pictures (could take a LOT of time if you are a beginner)
11. Make your blog noticeable (Google) so people find your blog and read your tutorials! (hard if you are a beginner)

THANKS! Now we can all benefit! :D
