How do you attach a texture to only one side of a prim?

Let's say i made a 10,10,10 size cube prim but i want to put a texture only to one side of the cube, or put different textures or alpha each 6 sides of the cube. How do i do it? Ty.

Turn on the "Select Texture" button in the upper half of the Edit tool, click on the surface you want, and then proceed on to selecting texture etc in the texture tab.

In the editor, switch the radio button to "Select Texture" and then you can select individual face (or several of them using shift). The same goes for editing texture parametes of each faces. (Alternatively you can just drop a texture from inventory on each face)

if your lazy you can drag the texture from your inventory to the face you want it to appear on also
