Can't save to TGA format

This has been really bugging me. After spending an hour or so in Photoshop (CS) I attempted to save my file as a TGA (because it had an alpha channel). I was using CMYK color because for some reason, photoshop had previously decided to stop changing the hue/saturation of layers on all the other color modes. Finding I had no other option, I created a new file with the color mode set to RGB. Then I proceeded to import all my work from the old file to the new file. However, when I attempted to save, I still couldn't find the option to save as TGA. Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated!

First, instead of changing to a new file, why not simply change the mode of the file you were in? You can change the mode of any open image at any time simply by going to the Image menu. (Image -> Mode -> [pick one])

I'm not sure what the cause of the hue/saturation problems might have been. What method were you using?

As for your current problem, I'd guess you're probably still not in the right mode for TGA. Make sure your image is set to RGB, 8 bits per channel. If it's set to any other bit depth per channel besides 8, TGA won't be an option.

This was my problem I couldn't for the life of me figure it out and missed it somehow. Now I can start a new whatever, open something use whatever selection I want missing puzzle piece seems to often be the 8 channels hehe

That seems to have solved it! Maybe I shouldn't go messing around with those options ^__^;

Thank you very much :D
