I am pulling my hair out trying to get a file to upload. I have repeatedly tried and tried and have redone the entire file countless times all with the same result: "Unable to upload texture due to the following reason: File transfer time out Please try again later".

I can get other files to upload but not this one. It is a simple shirt made of netting that will go over a more solid shirt. I actually have two I have been trying to upload..one with just the net part and the other with the 2 shirts together, both with no luck.

I used psp7 to create the file. Then I made a opened a new file, painted background black. Copied the net alpha cropped as I want it into the new file as a new layer, then copied the same as a transparent selection, lining up the two. After turning off the first net layer and decreasing colors to 32bit, I saved to the alpha channel. Then I saved as a psp file, and lastly as a tga file. But it won't upload at all...

I'm hoping somebody out there has some ideas on what I can do next to try to get this to work. I have already used the same principle (net layer over a more solid one in one file) to upload a skirt that matches the shirt, should I ever get it to load!

TIA for any help!!!

Try opening it in another app that supports 32bit TGA files and resaving. A good freeware app for stuff like that is irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/). It may have ended up with an extra channel or something else that SL doesn't understand.

Thanks for the tip, Chip!! Hey..I'm a poet.. seriously, though.. I redid the file in photoshop7 and it worked. For some reason, the file was 4 mb!! ouch.. but when I redid it, I was able to resize and make it smaller.

Thanks for suggesting it. I don't know why I didn't think about doing that!!
