Ok so i have been playing Second Life for around 5-7 days now and ive already made 20-30 high quality Tee's (i learn fast). Well When i go to my friends house and right click on the ground and click create. Then make a thin box about poster board size big and name it

Something Something Tee Shirt made by Buduh Shinn

then when i go to the contents box i drag my tee shirt in to the box, make sure the next owner can copy and modify. And now i can price it aswell? So i put 100L$. then when i go to Object tab or General tab on me poster board it says Price as well.

So which one is it? Is it the Price box on the general tab or the shirt? When i set the advert to Content.

Basically what i want to do is make like 25 prim poster boards (1 prim each for the Box.) and then apply a poster pic of the item inside. Then add the contents. Then price. Then sell the object (poster remains on the wall so many people can buy it.)

Can someone help? Sorry if im not making sense. I havent slept in 36 hours between work, SL and me gf haha...

Oh yeah is there like a SL model viewer, Where i can have like a Avatar in a pose wearing me items i make so i can take a pic and apply it as the texture of the poster that sells that item?

And what price do you reccomend for a Good teeshirt that looks real and is like gamer like. I specialize in gaming shirts and gear so thats what im ganna make till i learn more tips.

Thanks.

Once you have put the t-shirt into the poster box, you need to set the poster box For Sale, set the price, and click the radio button to Sell Contents. You do not need to put an image of the item in the box, you can just put the image on the outside of the box for people to see. Make sure you name the poster box to match what is inside it. You do not need to set the t-shirt itself for sale.

You can be your own model. Just put the t-shirt on and take a picture of yourself wearing it. Or get a friend to model it. I would suggest taking snapshots to your hard drive so you can edit them before using them. After you get established, you may want to use a professional photographer, but for now, there are publicly accessible photo studios around. You just have to find one.

As to price, look at your competition and see what they charge.

Cheree's suggestions are all great.

I'll also add that you may want to make and place several layer options (undershirt, shirt, and jacket) and a note card into the contents of the box too. This adds value to the shirt's wear-ability. The note card can contain images, landmarks, and other helpful information about the shirt which also ties the shirt back to YOU, the creator. If you have a trademark name or initials, you can embed that into the name of your shirt/product for greater recognizability. Many people suffer from inventory bloat, and quickly forget about or lose items in their inventory. Having an embedded name allows them to utilize the inventory search filters to recover lost items of yours.

Those are unfortunate initials :D. I guess you can run with it, though. Maybe come up with a tag line like - At BS Inc. we're full of Shinn! Seriously, something like (Buduh_Men's_Knit_T) would work fine.

I would have been tempted to name the company "Total BS".

But don't listen to me, my company name is ChereeMotion and none of my poses move.

:-)

Buduh --

What you need to do is learn to handle masks and alpha channels. That's the secret to doing what you want. Take a look at the recent thread in this forum about how to change the background color for a profile photo /109/c6/274214/1.html. It not only goes into a lot of helpful step-by-step detail about how to create and use masks, but also contains some useful dialog about some of the pitfalls of simply erasing unwanted pixels. I learned a lot from that exchange. Maybe you will too.

Good luck. :)

Total BS is yours as far as I'm concerned. But I will expect a box of t-shirts on my doorstep in the morning. :-)
