Hi,

can anyone tell me please how to make shoes? I know there is more to it than just building the prim, there's something with hiding or so, too. Is there a place where i can read how to do it maybe?
Thanks so much for any answer :)

I don't know about somewhere to learn but I made my shoes with just some basic knowledge.First I used a pose stand to keep my av in position, then I built the shoe around the foot. When it was done I did use a prim to hide/make invisible part of my foot that was still protruding through the sole. It's commonly called an invisiprim and is just a prim with a bit of code to load a certain texture that makes av models invisible, this was attached to the sole as a large enough box so that nothing would show when I'm flying e.t.c

That should be about all you need to know, just get a copy of the invisiprim code to work with.

hi, thanks a lot for answering. will try that.
Another question that occured is: what the "base" is you always get when buying a shoe? Know what i mean? They usually give you 2 shoes and a "base". Is that the invisible prim then?

The base helps your av's foot to fit properly into your prims. For instance, a pointy-toed shoe needs to have a very narrow fit and shallow toes. Play around with your Appearance mode and make shoes. Then do what the previous posted said. That's exactly what I do as well. Can't remember where I got my invisi-prim from however, I"m pretty sure someone gave it to me. If you can't find one, IM me and I'll send it to you.
