Ok so today I went to COMP USA and my mouth began to water...
I finally broke down and invested in a Wacom intuos3 (6x8)
I have installed the drivers all that jazz and have played around a bit with it, really cool!

Does anyone have any tips or examples of things they do with thier tablet that they couldnt do "comfortablly" with a mouse?

Any suggestions or tips, or ideas?

Help me out :)

Great!, That's a nice tablet. I have one sitting in front of me also, and i've never had any trouble. I suggest you start playing with the different brushes, and their Dynamics. Test out the pressure sensitivity for painting large strokes that get smaller with less pressure.
Try out brushes with pressure sensitive opacity(always useful).
Good luck!

lay a drawing on the tablet and trace it
then look up at the screen/pant program

Hey , Great !, That's a very nice tablet, I have one here too.
Try playing with the dynamic brushes, painting strokes that start large and get smaller with pen pressure. Try out the different brush dynamics including opacity controlled by pen pressure(very useful!).
Good luck!

Sure Sens, I made packs of free textures... just IM me if you want 'em. Very easy to get an organic, sketchy, even painterly feel to it. Also, you can use it to handwrite, so you can sign your name fancy too--this sure is something really difficult to do with a mouse!
