I came accross this source of free textures with an excellent range. There is a good DL quota and as I read the limitations you are free to use them for content creation, only proviso is that they are not resold as textures.

Would anyone care to post more such scources??

I'm just sad that Mayang is gone. That's all for today.

I would prefer if links to tutorials were posted so that people with the resources and the motivation to design their own stuff can create original artwork and to further develop their skills.
Free links are okay for referencing but too many people just copy and upload the textures on display then have the audacity to call them their own.

some tutorial examples;

and this one has over 3600 tutorials.

Here's a link that is useful for shapes, excellent if you are designing tattoos in SL.

Regarding Filter Forge, go buy it if you like it and make your own contributions. As an owner of FF plug in I have designed my own filters and will not release them on the FF website for people to download the free trial and rip every texture to sell in SL.

My advice is if you want it, make it yourself it is for more rewarding than using someone elses artwork that is not meant to be redistributed or sold as a standalone texture.
