Im some what of a newbie but i kind of wanted to get into skining but one of the first things i want to try to make is a custom Iris for my ava. are there any tips or webpages i can go to to show me how to make it. in case it helps my image editer is PSP 8

I think there is a template available on this site, let me find it:

ok
1)click downloads at the top of your screen

2) click templates on the left side of the screen

3) click the eye template to DL it, and you can DL any template you need there. GL

P.S. If you want them all, they are in one zip at the top of the list.

Use TGA format for best results. The only formats SL will accept are TGA and Jpeg. Jpeg is a web format with high compression and poor quality. TGA is a graphics application format with zero compression and great quaility.

I'd recommend downloading the Fashion Design Manual from the downloads section of this site and reading it. You can click the link in this post, or you can go back to where you got the eye template and click the link for help guides. Come back with any questions on anything you don't understand in the manual. Happy to help.

You also need to be aware that, for some reason known only to the Lindens, the Eye texture is rotated internally.

So, design your eye to look the way you want it to look, and then rotate it 90 degrees Counter- Clockwise before you save the .tga file and upload it.

Personally, I like the pupils to be more like circles, but that's a matter of taste. All I know is this has some extremely good ideas!
