I decided to make a Gimp tutorial on skin/clothing making.

My inspiration was being on the NCI channel during a busy time, seeing someone ask for a Gimp (rather than Photoshop) skin or clothing making tutorial, and seeing that noone on the channel knew of one.

At this stage, it's still only at 'make a simple t-shirt of a single colour'.

I intend to add a few tutorials:
- making textures and matching textures across avatar seams,
- highlight/shadow techniques (including making wrinkles and pleats),
- the major differences between making avatar skins and clothing (this might have to wait until I've made at least one skin).

Please comment and critique, ideally either here or in the blog. I would like to make this as helpful as possible.

Stage 1 (preparations) is at http://seshat-czeret.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-to-make-sl-clothes-in-gimp.html

Stage 2 (simple shirt) is at http://seshat-czeret.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-to-make-sl-clothes-in-gimp-part-2.html

These are such good tutorials, that I have added your blog to my favorites. I already picked up a new tip or two.

Thanks and keep it up.
