In the process of my latest project I've run into a quandry. Not with the basic creation of the item in mind but with the ability for people to wear it. Namely a piece of clothing for the head since only the tattoo layer is available to do this I've run into the problem of people wanting to keep their faces from their expensive and fabulously well done skins.
While I can do skins as well, this is not the point. I came across a rather lengthy thread with a lot of back and forth, some quite virulent on this topic and I am NOT looking to repeat it here.
What I want is to sell a latex hood to go with my various catsuits and would like to partner with some skin designers to use their popular faces with my hood around them so that purchasers of the hood can keep their own face.
If you are interested let me know and we can figure out how to go about it. I haven't thought about anything past the initial idea as far as logistics etc.
Just as a little more background, I have been using photoshop extensively for over 10 years, with experience in Poser, Bryce, 3DSMAX, extensive photo-retouching and web production. I have only been in SL since Oct 2006 however since then I have 5 vendor locations with a new shop I just opened yesterday with exponential growth continuing.
I think a partnership would be beneficial for all involved so again, if you are interested sing out and lets see what we can come up with.

Dante, I've added hoods to my skins for people. Your best bet for enabling people to use your full bodysuits is to be willing to provide a fully permissioned copy of the hood texture to skin makers when necessary so that they can composite it onto their head textures for people who want to use it with their skin. I think you'll find that a lot of skinners will be willing to do that for their customers.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed that LL adds some additional texture layers to skins some day so this kind of thing is no longer an issue.

As Chip said, we are very willing to support texture overlays (like your hoods) on our skins if arrangements can be made to work with your textures. I certainly am. With each passing day I grow more and more skeptical that LL will ever add extra texture layers to the head, but there is still that chance. Until then, SL turns without them.

Chip, Nam (sorry lazy typer),
Thats pretty much what I was hoping. I have my own skins that I will release once I'm happy with them but I was hoping to be able to arrange something like this with folks like yourselves so thats great. I have no problems in providing the overlays to any skin designer. The hood is generally speaking the simplest of all layers and just a nice finish to the entire suit.

Thank you for the answers, as well. I had the same question trotting in my mind.
