Is there a format that can possibly employ animation on a texture? If not, I'm asuming it requires scripting. In that case, would anyone have a lead on where I could preview a texture animation script?

Hi Xerial, and welcome to Second Life.
Animation is, indeed, a script. Or one of several, to be more precise. Only prims can have animated textures, by the way, because only prims can have scripts. So, if you're thinking about animated clothing textures, the animation will need to be in a prim attachment. That being said, you can see what the various animations do as well as picking up a notecard explaining all of it and giving you the scripts at my Texture Tutorial at Benten (25, 115, 28.) It's a little out of date at the moment, but you should still be able to figure everything out from what is there. Hope this helps! _____________________

Thanks for the lead... I'd suspected I'd have to go the Prim route... that'll make it rather interestesting for tattoos, but time will tell how it works out...
