Snapshots don't want to be textures!

I have scads of snapshots saved to disc from SL, but they can only be uploaded as textures. This is fine except that a notecard won't support dragging textures onto it. The files are saved in bmp format, is that the problem? Thanks in advance!

First, they should be in targa format, which makes things easier for all concerned.

Second, make sure the permissions are full -- copy, mod, transfer. If there are not full permissions, you cannot drag it onto a notecard.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Lo. They are my own snapshots, so they should be full perm. I didn't convert to targa, because that is the preferred format for texture, and I need them in snapshot form. Well thats my excuse:) I'll give this a whirl! Thanks much!

They need to be set to full perm for the NEXT owner, not you. Just another not-obvious part of the UI, alas.

The only difference between a snapshot and a texture is the icon.

There isn't any way to change the icon (that I know of); but since they are functional equals, it's really not important.

Set them to full perms, as others have said, and you won't have any problems putting them into notecards.
