Crazy clothing question and probably an easy answer. If you wanted to make a tee or anything to fit kids avi's or a maternity shirt, would you do that a different way? Or would the appearance editor in-game fix it to the correct size on the individual's body?

it will scale with the body cause it is the body
clothing is baked on the skin body texture and appearance menu
will deform the mesh

Well, yes and no, on "one size fits all". Two other factors play a big part:

========
Texture detail on chest or back:
Let's say you have a t-shirt that has a large design on the chest.

That shirt may look fine on a fairly flat-chested female. But on a very large-chested female, or on a man with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, or on someone with a really big tummy (pregnant or beer belly), that design WILL distort.

The same goes for the back, over the shoulder blades.

How much this matters will depend on your design, and where on the shirt the design is placed. Some things work FAR better than others.

=========
"Loseness" of the shirt:
If you have a design that works well on a shirt that is skin-tight, it can change a LOT if the "looseness" setting is increased in the appearance sliders. This effect is more pronounced with some body shapes than with others.

So... What I have found is that it does pay to try a shirt or blouse on with several very different body types. Some designs, you can go unisex just fine. Others, there will be distortion, but it will be something small enough to ignore. But for some designs, you will find that you do ned to make a "men's version", a "Lady's version", and maybe a "Busty female version" to make it look right.

The only way to be sure is to test it out.

Very true, haven't even thought of all of that. I'll do some experimenting and see if anything works. Thank you! :o
