Anyone out there able to do some custom texture work for me? This includes basically just making my building look good. XD I made an apartment complex, and need some textures that aren't your average plastic siding and shingled roof. Looking for something a bit more woodsy, I guess. Basically, if I'm given the textures, I can texture the place...problem is finding textures that look good together. Feel free to just point me to specific textures to buy, or make them...I'm on a kind of low budget, however, so a consultation might be in order. If you can help or know someone that can, please give me a yell in SL.

There's two excellent free texture packs at Little Rebel, with a great choice of wood textures and just about every other kind.

It's not so much finding the textures. There are textures EVERYWHERE. I need someone to go "Okay, as a set, these three textures together will rock."

The texture of peanut butter and jelly go well, as well as french fries and milkshake. But I digress. I often find textures from the same set, go figure, work well together... That said, you *might* find some acceptable rustic woodsy in the Atoll folders, otherwise, i'd stay away from the freebies for actual "building" (like appartments and hotels) projects. Bah, w/e i'm dumb

Well, you said you were on a tight budget, so i don't know how helpful the next recommendation is, but Textures-R-Us sells coordinated bundles of textures. They also do comissions for a reasonable price, and i've found them to be friendly and fast.

There's also color. I find that using a color other than white to go with an existing texture can work wonders with the mood of the setting. It's like having more textures.
