Argh. Okay.
I've been making a couple of shirts in SL. Two of them, I didn't notice until after I'd uploaded, that you can *really* see between the seams. That is, you can see the -skin- underneath, through the edges. I went back in yesterday, and figured it was because the alpha channel was not very precise - the edges actually had grays here and there, and I thought that was my problem.
I went through, meticulously CHANGED it so my alpha channel is 100% black and white, no gray to be seen anywhere. Figured that would fix my problem... and I made another shirt.
I went to preview... looks good, can't see any seams showing... uploaded my image, and put on the shirt. Well, it was night time, and the shirt was dark gray, so everything looked good.
Now it's daytime. And I can see my seams again. Not as bad as the last two shirts I fudged up, but they're still slightly visible.
I really want to know how to fix this problem, if possible. I've been 100% accurate at following the template... at making sure my edges of the alpha channel are black and white with no gray... and still I have this problem.
Should I just make it so that the "problem areas" where the seams are, are visible instead of invisible? Does the alpha channel only really matter on collars and sleeves and tank-tops and such?
Thanks!
