Hello I had a friend today call me over to look at a pair of pants she made, she said they had a flaw on them..its like a gap in a v shape on the side, on the very bottom of one leg. I had someone report this to me on a pair i had made as well in the past. The pants didn't look that way when i made them (or if they did, I sure never noticed). The entire template and bleedlines were covered..so there was really no obvious reason i can find for them to do this. And since seeing hers that way as well, I know now that it just wasn't the pair I had. I tried taking off shoes, changing the leg flare and so on..it's still there. The only way to make it go away is wear them skin tight to the leg or shorten them >.> Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, any idea what causes it? Thanks~

Is there an alpha channel on the pants? If so, check that the white (opaque) parts on that channel are fully covering the bleed. If they don't need specialized transparency, you might want to just delete the alpha channel altogether. Most "normal" pants don't need it. Otherwise, you could always sell these not quite perfect pants at an outlet store.

Try playing around with the length and fit sliders. Sounds like an issue with the avatar mesh pantleg morph and not with the texture. At certain lengths and fits it can go a bit wonky. I believe it can also be affected by avatar detail settings.

I've had that happen to me too. It might have something to do with the item not rezzing completely. I take it off and put it back on again, and it usually fixes it...after a few tries of course. Hope this helps. If it keeps occuring, I don't know what it could be. I make clothes too, so if the alpha channel is in the right place, then that shouldn't happen. Elle

Or what Chosen said would work as well. Elle

strange v shape at pants bottoms

I had exactly the same prob so I contacted the designer of the pants I had bought and he said "that's an SL problem, not a designers problem. Sl's meshes sometimes distort. To overcome the problem, when it happens, go into appearance, then to pants, and adjust the waiste height from 100 - 99... you should see the pants turn back to normal". I did this and it worked straight away no more weird V shape .I hope this helps.
