Hello everyone, Basically colour covers over textures I use. For example, I've been trying to put a chrome texture onto a prim, and it will not show the texure but will show the colour instead. (And I've clicked select and so on, and checked the apply immedietely box.) Sorry if this is a noobish question, but I need help! Thanks very much

Welcome to the fora Sorako!
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I *think* you're using the texture button and the colour buttons on a prim.
If you apply a texture to a prim coloured white the colours of the texture show exactly as designed.
If you colour the prim, given white is 255, 255, 255 any colouring takes off this... This is then applied to the texture you've used. So black bits don't change colour at all, they're already at 0, 0, 0 and you can't take bits off that... A yellow texture (255, 0, 255) on a texture coloured blue (0, 255, 0) will look black too (0,0,0).
If that's the right problem, the trick is *little* adjustments to the colour settings - if like me you're on a mac use the "use system colour picker" option - it's much, much nicer in my opinion, and lets you adjust that much more finely too. If you're on a PC I'm afraid I can't help much - it must be possible to finely adjust colours but I don't know the system well enough to suggest how.
