Ok I have an idea for a building. I want it to appear invisible from the outside. Invisible meaning see through. If someone places a picture or furniture inside the house I do not want it able to be seen. So far I have seen invisble where the one wall can't be seen but not an entire house. This way people could design the inside the way they wanted and not worry about it being seen. Is this possible?

This could be achieved by surrounding the building with invisiprims (check my sig for some places to get my Invisibility Prim Public). However, each and every object within the building would need to be textured with alpha textures (either textures that contain an alpha channel or normal textures set slightly transparent). Any non-alpha textures will remain visible. This also applies to avatars' attachments, though the actual avatar skins will be hidden.
Keep in mind, of course, that anyone who wants to look inside past those invisiprims can quite easily do so. There's no way to prevent avatars from moving their viewpoint through walls.

Actually, the textures do not have to be transparent at all--they must only be saved as a 32-bit .tga file which will 'cause them to act just like a transparent object for the alpha layering.
Also...the layering isn't perfect--your items won't be invisible from all angles.

ok so far what I am hearing is what I was afraid of. I basicly wanetd it 100% invisible from the outside while inside there was say a party with people, etc. Which obviosuly in this case woud not work. EDIT: Beatfox I will definatly come look at the invisprim as it might be the next best thing though. I still want to release this items just was hoping for a different outcome.

I recall Paradigm Brodsky made a stealth house/ship that apparently did not follow the "alpha texture" rules. I'm not sure if he's would be willing to help, but it's worth a shot.

From: Beatfox Xevious However, each and every object within the building would need to be textured with alpha textures (either textures that contain an alpha channel or normal textures set slightly transparent). Um beatfox do you have a texture or item that you know will cause this problem? I think I just made the statement false but didn't get time to test fully.
