I hope something like this hasn't been posted before. I use Microsoft Image Composer to make quite a few articles of clothing and sometimes find it more intuitive than Photoshop. (probably because PS scares me) I know that MIC is bundled and more people may have access to it so i put together a basic guide for making clothing using MIC. I currently use a combination of both Photoshop and MIC, but have found I can do quite a bit with MIC alone. I hope this helps someone. Neehai http://www.yeaok.com/SL/clothing.html

Some good ideas. I've never heard of anyone using the composer for clothing before. From: someone Originally posted by Neehai Zapata I hope something like this hasn't been posted before. It came with Microsoft Frontpage 98 years ago.
I'm really not sure where you could get it now. It's a shame. I really find it easier to use than PS.

Be careful
While I admire your creativity in finding what is probably a previously unused application for SL prposes, I must caution you. MS applications are known to not always show you the truth about what is happening with images. View your MIC images on 10 different computers and chances are you will see 10 different pictures.
The reason is MS apps tend to rely on the OS to determine things like resolution translations, pixel placement, vector calculations, color mamagement, etc. instead of having built in engines of their own. MS wants people to use Windows, so most of their stuff is very reliant on the OS instead of being self sufficient.
Keep using MIC if you like it that much, but I would encourage you to get over your "fear" of Photoshop. Besides being more reliable, PS is at least 100 times more feature rich than MIC.

I'm not sure I understand. The clothes look fine when I upload them to SL. Are you saying that MS is influencing how I see my own creations in SL? Do they look terrible to everyone else? From: someone PS is at least 100 times more feature rich than MIC 100 times? Really? In what way? Do you work for Adobe? Listen, MIC works for me and I just posted this because it might work for someone else. It works the way I think. I have PS. I have used PS. MIC just works the way I think. /shrug
