I know theres quite a handful of 3d.sk users here in secondlife.
It was my first time buying a subscription there and due to a misunderstanding I bought the subscription that does not allow me to download premium content.
I have emailed the company twice in regards to upgrading me, asking if I could pay the difference, and have not heard back.
Have any of you needed to contact them for any reason and -did- get a reply? If so, how long did it take?
Sorry, I know this isnt really a second life problem, but I couldn`t find a forum board on their site.

In my experiences 3DSK doesn't respond at all. CCBill (3DSK's billing provider) does respond, but they will tell you that you have to wait until your subscription runs out before it can be changed. Hopefully you didn't sign up for one year

Oh, thanks so much.
That`s sad. I hate dealing with companies who don`t respond *cough!*
I only paid for a month thank God, I began getting the feeling they took after LL so went with a non premium photo shoot instead. Oh well!

Keep in mind... there ARE a lot of people in SL using 3dsk like you said. The stuff you get with a normal membership is good, but I can pick out which ones were used in designers skins (I have an eye for that and I'm sure other people have too) Problem is you won't find such good material unless you go out and get it yourself... assuming you have the camera equipment. I didn't have to deal with their support at all as I found most of what I was looking for, but I think it might be mostly a 1 man operation so be patient and perhaps the guy will get in touch.

I never said I was using this for SL though >.< lol Premium also has a ton of high quality animal shots. I was just irritated I didnt get a response when I had a project to do. But after looking at it more, I think youre right at it being a 1 man operation. They only really have 1 contact info and its always the same guys name. Anyway... I did browse the human photo references and Im not big on skins in SL, but I was able to look at 2 skins and think "this is definitely the guy used for ______ skin." I think if someone is making a skin, it is probably in their best interest to use their RL face. Ive been noticing people being accused of copying a skin when it really is just the same reference photo. Maybe done intentially, maybe the person just didnt know. Its not like SL skinners ownexclusive rights to the ref. photo they chose. So its disappointing to see fists being thrown over someone using the same source. If you pull your images from a widely shared database, don`t grumble if another SL user uses the same.

If you pull your images from a widely shared database, don`t grumble if another SL user uses the same. It's one of the downsides to photosourcing (and there being only one good source for skin reference photos). Texture theft does happen though so I can't blame people for being a bit paranoid. Like you I can generally tell which 3d.sk photoset was used for various SL skins since I've probably done the same one myself. It's definitely in people's interest to mix and match sources in such a way that the resulting skin will be unique. With so many talented skinners in SL these days there are bound to be lots of instances of people creating very similar skins. The more you go out of your way to make your skins unique the better you're able to tell if another skin is from ripped textures or not. Even then I'd bet people are wrong in their accusations more often than they're right. As for customer service at 3d.sk, I've found them to be quite responsive when I've contacted them by email. I haven't had to do it for a couple of years though and I imagine he's a bit busier these days.
