Free Artist Studios At The Brownstones!

I have three spaces available for artists looking for a place to create and show their work. The spots are located in Grignano (118, 114). See attached photo.

The studios (160 sq. meters/80 prims) are free and are awarded to individuals based on an interview and portfolio review. Preference will be given to those who are newer and less established. Those selected have the use of the space for one month, culminating in an art walk event. Only individuals may apply and occupy the space. Tenants are encouraged to have events of their own and sell their creations. At the end of one month they have to give the space up for the next person on the list.

Please contact me for an appointment or if you have additional questions on available space at the Brownstones. I am usually inworld for a while every day. Below are my general guidelines for tenants.

Salazar's Seven:

1) SIM RATING - You can create anything! (As long as it's PG rated.) This is a PG sim, please keep the sim guidelines in mind.

2) PRIM USE - You can use up to 80 prims in your artist studio space! Please keep your prim use at or below your max. The building is set back a bit from the edge of the property so it is possible to add things outside your windows if you want. I will be marking spots where you can put official signage directing people to your space. Any prims you use go towards your total prim usage.

3) CREATING & BUILDING - You can join the Brownstone Building Association group if you like, but it's not necessary to join at the present time to create your build here.

4) SOUNDS, PARTICLES - When using sounds and particle effects please be aware of their effect on others' enjoyment of the building and the surrounding neighborhood. Keep particles to a minimum or, preferably, only on when you are on the premises. I understand if you have items for sale though and need to display them. Play sounds at a low volume and avoid looping continuous audio streams.

5) CHATS - General chats will be heard by others close to you in the building. Use Instant Messaging (IM) to communicate privately.

6) THE ROOF - The roof is for everyone to use. If you want to have an organized event there just check with me for availablity.

7) HAVE FUN - I occasionally have events in the cafe. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

The Brownstones look great! not to mention they serve an awesome purpose. i applaud your work!

If there are any other artists interested in free studio space for a month please contact me inworld. I will be selecting the first three or four tenants this Saturday, July 17th.
