Hiya All

I've just started making tattoo's and came across my first problem, I have a tattoo I want on 1 arm, However after placing it and adding my alpha, I uploaded to SL and the tat is in the right place but appears on both arms, Is there a way to get a tattoo on the one arm only?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nat :-)

Short Answer: No.

Longer Answer: No, and don't expect this to change in the near future; the only workaround is to use prims to make the tattoo.

Hi Nat! What they said. :D

And, ummmm... can you please do me and my old eyes a favor, and not use Pink for your text? It's terribly difficult for me to read against the blue.

Thanks!

Here is a suggestion you could try. I'll admit I don't know if it will work or not. As I'm new to graphics design end for this game. Well here it goes.

Design your own shirt / top that uses your own untattoed skin to cover up the unwanted tatto.

I know it sounds simple and that there will be a lot more to do to make it work. As well as to make it look right. The only reason why it migth work is after looking over "Robin (Sojourner) Wood T-Shirt Template" by Robin Sojourner on his nice web page and realized you could make one arm longer then the other and use your avitars skin over the new section. On the plus side. You will then have your own template if it works.

But, how simple is it to make a prims compaired to this suggestion? Anyone?

Hi Aragosnat!

Thanks for the kind words about my site, and my work. I really appreciate it.

However, I'm afraid that you can't make a T-shirt (or anything else) with one arm longer than the other, because there is only one arm! Yeah, as weird as it sounds, for texturing purposes, all of us have only one arm, one foot, and one eye.

This is something that is built into the UV maps here, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Sigh.

Hiya Argo,

Its really easy to make a prim, Just click build in game (Down bottom of your screen), then select which object u want to create and voila :-)

But thankyou for your suggestion

Nat :)
