OK, I have been looking around for a couple of hours. I have an image with a white background. The image is complex with lots of corners, etc. I either want to crop the image exactly and copy it onto a transparent layer, or better yet, if there was a way to "fill" the white background and make it transparent that would be cool. Any advice would be appreciated.
NOTES: When I try to Crop to Selection, it crops to a box around the image and not the exact image itself.
Many thanks in advance,
Rock

From: NOTES: When I try to Crop to Selection, it crops to a box around the image and not the exact image itself.[/QUOTE For that operation use the lassoo-tool, cropping (scalpel) is only for a shape formed cut -also look at chromamask -but it is difficult and take a lot of time to extrakt somthing perfectly from an image. br.
