I was wondering, anyone have any suggestions as to how to add this in to my pants textures? I'm not really clear on it, I tried googling for a picture of a zipper or something that I could just blend in somehow, but that didn't work so good. But also, how would I add in say pockets or belt loops. Of course not like prim ones, but making it so it looks like there is one there. Any suggestions or even pictured tutorials haha?

I would just draw then in. If you aren't good at sketching, find a pair of pants on the net. Copy & paste then onto a layer. Make a new layer above and using the pants as guide, trace the belt loops and pockets.

The problem with tracing though is that it doesn't allows get the shadows down, and the lines tend to look a bit odd. Plus, even just tracing can be a bit hard since I don't have a tablet, and moving the mouse completely steadily is a bit difficult.

I once spent a TON of time on a zipper making sure it was fully detailed and looked like a zipper, but once I applied it to my template, I had to shrink it down so much that all the detail was LOST!!!!

So, now, for zippers, I just draw a line somewhere around 4-8 pixels wide in the color I want it and then apply the bevel and emboss filter, experimenting with different edge/contour patterns, etc.

For loop holes, just take a loophole size section of your texture on a different layer above your belt and main texture layer and play around with bevel and emboss and drop shadow until you have what you like. Pockets can be done the same way, but have many more options.

Of course, there are many ways to do these things. So, I'm sure others will explain even better ways!!! Good luck!
