New to This: Skins and clothes.

Is there a step by step guide that a newbie could follow in building skins and clothes?

I am more interested in skins. I'd like to see if its possible to place tats on the skin, instead of wearing it like a clothing item.


Also curious about the differnt terms used in describing clothing like prims and such.

Look at the top of this forum at the clothing tutorials sticky. There are about a zillion tutorials listed there. Creating skins uses the same tools and processes as clothes, but it is more challenging to make good ones, so I recommend you start with clothes.
