There has been some discussion here in the past around VWR-8012 (http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8012). I was excited to hear that this was going to be fixed and was looking forward to better AV texture matching when it was. I'm not so sure that the fix has made that much of a difference, and that it did not in fact make some things a bit worse.
On the assumption that this fix has been in the last version of the first look viewer since it is stated to be in 1.22.11, I have not noticed that much of a difference in the value matching of textures applied to clothing layers and those applied to attached prims. Then again, I have not really been paying much attention and I can't do more of a check right now as I can't log in-world. Has anyone else noticed any difference?
One thing I have noticed using the first look viewer for the past week or so is that the lighting on my AV looks a bit harsher than it used to. Facial mesh creases are more prominant throughout various day cycles than in the past. Anyone else notice that?
Of course we will deal with these changes in whatever way required, as content producers. Just curious what others have noticed, and if they think their products or builds or textures need updating as a result.
