Was looking around but couldn't find a tutorial on making eye for SL... I might of missed it or something but is there one?

You can download the basic eye template here:
http://secondlife.com/community/templates.php

Just open it and take a look, pretty straight forward, really. Just paint over it. If you google 'Texturing eyes' or something similar you should be able t fin a tutorial on how to make more realistic eyes. A tutorial for any media for making eye textures should have useful information for it, since in any shape the general idea is the same for them.

and the eyes are artworked at 90 degrees on the template, when uploaded to SL they are applied correctly.

Eye textures are turned 90° (as I recall), so if you make it going the way it should look it will be rotated (and be wrong) on the avatar.

Here's a tutorial on making "eyes" or the "iris" obviously just copy your file on the template and rotate 90 degrees.

Also look here, I use this site a lot. It is just a 3D artists resource, mostly all avatars, from various platforms like Bryce and Poser. But most of the info is usable in Secondlife.
