The response to the first photo skin has been great! Thanks so much to all of you who bought the first iteration. I'm working my buns off to get a whole line of them ready to go with mutliple skintones and faces to choose from. This is just a sampling of some of the faces. If you're interested in any of these before they hit the market just give me a yell :)

Note: Owners of the original skin will be able to trade for any of the others free of charge if you like any of the new ones better :)

Feedback welcome and appreciated!

The one on the far right (their left) looks constipated.

The rest are nice.

LOL. She does look a bit pissed off :D It's actually my personal favorite since it has so much character.

I love your stuff, and Understand that the skin work is hard to do, but Your skins cost a lot
I think that you will make more / sell more if you lower your prices to maybe 1,000, the price of 10k for skins is way more than I or many members could afford, it'd take a long time for me to save up, and I'd rather spend that money on land etc.

Fear not Qucksilver, the 10k price will soon be cut in half. I've only had one skin for sale that I've been customizing for each buyer. It's very labor intensive and pricing it that high was the only way to keep them from consuming 100% of my time. I'm currently creating an entire line of skins to cover a wide range of skintones. When they're released I'll no longer need to customize each one and will cut the price in half at that time. Adding tatts will still be rather time consuming so I'll be hesitant to lower the price much below that until LL gives us another texture layer for skin so that tatts won't have to be composited directly onto the skin textures in photoshop.

Thanks for the kind words guys :)

Yep. If you go to the downloads section of this website you'll find all the templates for texturing avatars and clothing. Most people use them as a starting point and make their own templates since the LL provided ones leave a bit to be desired. If you search the forums for "templates" you should find some good tips to help you get started :)
