Not sure exactly which topic this post goes under...but...
I've created a shape that is significantly less muscular than my standard shape, however anytime I try it on or have someone else try it on, their arms appear very bulky and muscular. When I'm wearing the shape, I can simply go back to "Appearance-Shape-Torso" and without even changing ANYTHING it reverts to the shape it's supposed to be. When I have someone else wear the shape, however, sometimes their doing this doesn't work for my view of their shape.
Regardless...the problem is very annoying. Is there some sort of bug? A work around? Somethin' I missed that would make this thing happen?

OMG, we finaly have a second! I must ask, is the av in question here male or female? You see, NeuralClone Zaius, my SL business partner, has had this problem on every female av shape he's ever made. Males work fine for him, but every female he makes ends up with the biceps of Popeye the Sailer Man. Going into appearance mode, and then touching any slider on the upper body instantly puts the arms at normal size, but as soon as the av is taken off and put back on, the arms are beefy again.
This has been going on for a year and a half now, bug reported several times, discussed on the forums a couple times, and nothing has changed. NeuralClone simply can't make female avs. I end up having to do the body shapes for every female we sell. Every once in a while I run across someone wearing a female shape that he made before we decided I should do them all, I see the Popeye arms, and I cringe. Of course, I give the person a fixed copy, made by me, and they're always grateful, but the fact that there are still hundreds of them out there is pretty embarrassing, not to mention the fact that the bug itself is redicuolus, and should have been squashed ages ago.
As for what to do about it, I really can't say. Until you posted this, NeuralClone was the only person I knew in SL who had the problem. Maybe this thread will bring any others out of the woodwork, and LL will finally do something about it.

Looks like an exact duplicate of the problem. Strange.

WOW! I have this prob ALLL the time!

I am goign into apperance all day fixing what me and my best friend call "Old Lady" Arms, cause they can be called view a buff or old saggy fatty arms. We hate this prob and we both have it. I think it may have started with a body form I was given to make adjsutments to. It was called, excuse the name ... I am only repeating how it is listed in my Invo, "Typical Female Bitch" and I THINK that may have been when all my arms probs started, My best pal in SL just started having her afm probs, but need to ask her if she's put on the body form lately or another by any other name. I save it under a new name but it still buffs out over time. I as so freaked out over this I even asked live help with there was some like of building skill level that made you bigger as you built! LOL I do custom builds so I am working all the time on those big heavy walls and trusses. LOL
Glad to hear it isn't me losing packets as one Live person said, cause then that would mean everyone around me was losing them too, cause everyone notices the arms. I've included a before an after pic, but something no one has mentioned is the fact that the shoulder socket muscles never go back to normal, as you can tell for the pics. The are BIG! Like a guys shoulder, so the thought occurred to me, that if the person who made this body form was in a male body first then just tried and make it a female using sliders, that might explain a whole lot. Question, then is, if the problem goes away for real once a female originated body form is used? I don't know. I don't have anything in my invo but the "Typical Female Bitch" to test with. ANY SOLUTION?????? I'd love one if there is!!!!!

Same Problem here too

Well Tessa, I am the creator of Typical Female Bitch...lol but I used a basic female av to create her...and she'd gone thru many a tweak before I gave her to you... Don't think she's the problem...and I don't know the solution either...but all my female av's do this. No matter which one I start from.

I think I figured it out

I went thru all the settings and wrote them down...then I used all those same settings to transform the Ruth Thin shape that is found in the Library section of inventory...and I no longer have the problem...maybe that should be the starting point since she is the main avatar? If anyone else knows of other ways, please post! For now, this works!

OMG... I had popeye arms too! They were so embarrassing! I sat here this morning making all new shapes for myself using the thin shape from my library folder. So far it seems to have cured the problem. I didn't realize how bad it looked until I was able to see the difference between my fat arms and what they should look like.
