Hi! A couple of weeks ago, someone in another thread asked for video tutorials about painting on a model in Photoshop CS4 Extended. I said I'd make some. It took longer than I hoped. (Mostly because I got the flu) but they are finally finished, and up on my site. You can go to the first one, that shows you how to open an .obj model, by following this link. http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/PhotoshopTuts/PhotoTutPages/CS4-3D-1_Open.htmlThere's also one about managing the lighting, (including how to get it to look like fullbright,) another about how to move the model around, and, finally, one about how to paint on it. If you just want to skip to that one, it's at http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/PhotoshopTuts/PhotoTutPages/CS4-3D-4_Paint.htmlIt's kind of long, at 12 minutes, but there was a lot I wanted to cover. The others are all much shorter. They all have video portions, which you can download if you are having trouble watching on line. (They're in .flv format.) You can also grab a transcript of the movie, in .rtf. After that, they have a short bit with text instruction, and finally there's detailed info in an accordion at the bottom of the page, if you want that. They should print out well, too. At least, I set the .css up so they would. I hope. I'd appreciate feedback. Anything that's awful can be fixed. Hope they help!

I don't know how to thank you enough, Robin. All of your templates, tutorials, and advice are so very helpful to myself and others that are learning to build, animate, use photoshop/gimp, etc. for SL.

Thank you so much for that! I'd been trying to figure it out on my own, but this just saved me hours and hours of my time. I really appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge and skill.
