I bought a computer on Second Life. It's unpacked and everything but the screen just stays blank. I figured there would be a way to superimpose a picture onto the screen to make it look like you're on a specific webpage. Basically I just want to put a picture on my real computer as the screen to this one. Any suggestions?

Save a screen shot on your computer in RL and upload it to SL as a texture. Apply it to the screen of your in world computer, assuming that you have mod rights and can actually change the texture on the screen. It you don't, then put a prim of your own in front of the screen and texture it.

Just be careful of one thing: The screen image that is on the prim computer now may include the bezel around the screen, so replacing that texture could, concievably, put your new screen image to the edges of the prim, instead of to the edges of the percieved screen, wiping out the border that should be around the viewable screen area. Adding a seperate prim of the screen image you want is the safest way to do it.

In addition to what Ceera has said please make sure you have the select texture radio button selected or you will texture every face of the screen prim. once it is selected just click on the face you wish to texture
