I'm making a graphic in photoshop and some of my layers have layer blending effects. When I select layer transparency, the layer effect doesn't get selected. Can someone help me out? Fell free to send me an IM on yahoo, my screen name is shutdown_joe. Or write me in world.

Rasterize or flatten those layers first. I usually just make a new empty layer beneath the layer with a layer effect then select that layer and do a "merge down." Make sure you save a PSD with all your effects before you do that though.
