The following link is to three tutorials on making clothing. The first one is the class I taught here for over a year. Then there is a photo look at making a blouse with some added details to make it look more realistic. Lastly, there is the tutorial I did a while back on making a polo shirt. I want to thank Rachel Darling for making it happen by providing me with the web space. I hope they help you become a better SL seamstress or tailor. Jen http://www.slellowpages.com/slseamstress

Great idea, I'd love to read your tutorials... But I can't.
Maybe it's my computer, but the first tutorial doesn't show at all for me, while the second shows the first page and than 'stops' the application when I try to view the second page.

Hi Jen
Thank you so much for sharing.
It is this positive attitude that makes SL better for everyone. So a quick thanks to everyone that not only create great content, but also is willing to share their knowledge and helping us all to become better SL creators.
Suzy: your problem might be that the tutorials are PDF files, so check your PDF reader, or try to download the files and then viewing them, as sometimes viewing PDFs in your internet browser can cause some - lets call it - confusion.

Great stuff Jennifer! Do you mind if I set up a link on my web site to your PDF files?

I had a problem viewing the PDF file(s) as well. Something about "can't initialize linear something-or-other". Can't remember which one did give that error, but I do believe it was the first one.
I did see the blouse one just fine.
Can't remember if I tried to view the third one, but I don't think I did.
Man, it's hard work being an absent-minded genius. Now, where did my Post-Its go?
Rock on.

First one just fine.
Second one crashed.
Third one opened, but wouldn't render.
edit:
First one just fine. Second no render. Third crash.

"Error reading linearized hint data" on the first one. This is caused by PDF readers that get confused by the optimizations written into the document to supposedly make it easier for browser plugins to read. I suggest downloading these to your local drive and opening them from there, that solves the problem for me.
And these look very nice, Jennifer. Thanks!

Thank you all, for the nice compliments. To those who are having problems reading the pdf files, I don’t really know what could be the problem? I checked them on two different computers and they looked fine to me. If you send me an email address, I will send them to you directly. Chip, of course you can link to the web page. I am thrilled that someone like you would think they are fantastic. LOL I am floating while I type. I want them to help people learn to make clothing in SL. So, feel free to link to the files. I don’t think Rachel Darling would mind. After all, it is her server. Jen

From: Jennifer McLuhan Chip, of course you can link to the web page. That was Namssor hehe. You got the me thinking your tutorials are fantastic part right on the nose though. If I had a webpage I'd be wanting to link to them too. You can be sure I'll be telling people who ask me for tutorials where to find them. Thanks so much for taking the time to put them together.

I'm checking out the problems you're reporting...occasionally I am also getting the error, that Acrobat Reader 8 stopped working. Might be an issue with the Acrobat helper version and/or IE or Vista. I am running Vista and Acrobat Reader 8, with IE Explorer 7. If you're having this problem can you please post the versions of the following apps here in this thread, so I can troubleshoot it a bit: Acrobat Reader: IE Explorer: Windows: In the meantime, if you right-click on the tutorial and click "Save Target As," then save it to your own PC and open it, they seem to open in the full version of Acrobat just fine. Jennifer -- if it's possible to get the original files, I can try and re-pdf them and see if that helps...you have my email address. I'm on a flight cross-country tonight but should be around tomorrow afternoon (Friday). - Rachel PS I'm happy to have people link to the tutorials.
