I am new to Second Life, and I have been spending most of my time in-world playing with the avatar appearance editor. It is pretty nice, but I was wondering if there is any way to go beyond the maximum value of a slider. For example, if I want huge ears, I could set the slider value to 200 instead of 100. (Typing in the number doesn't work.) Is there any way to do this?
From a programming perspective, the slider ranges seem arbitrary, and I can't think of any reason why it shouldn't be possible to scale some body parts by a larger value. But the real question is how easy is it to do? I'm not familiar with any graphics programs beyond MSPAINT, so I would prefer to have the solution work in-world.
Thanks in advance for your help.

No, they defined certain limits for things, if they didn't we'd likely have a number of giant or ant sized avatars running around. In some cases if you don't like the built-in clothing and shape tools you can make prim versions that suit your purposes more effectively. For example many of the shoes and hair styles people wear are made of prims, ears should be doable with prims as well. Then custom textures can also be used and in all cases if you can't do it yourself you can always buy ones others made or find someone else to do it for you. As a side note this seems more like a general purpose question than something for the texture and design section.
