I am sure that there is another post about this, but I have been searching for hours on end and I am still not finding what I am looking for.
Few years ago, I read a tutorial on how to do a texture bake in Blender. I got really good at it and for some reason or another quit - and I've forgotten everything. Now I'm back trying to figure out that same awesome method, and well... I can't remember diddly squat.
All that I remember is starting out with a gray image, bringing it into Blender - applying it to parts of the body that I wanted to bake, then export/save that file. Then I could take the file into PS and put it into my clothing, do the necessary effect adjustments > end product being a texture with highlights and shadows.
I don't remember the exact steps! Doesn't that just seem like torture?! lol It is.
So I know how to do everything needed in Photoshop - I just can't remember the steps for blender. If anyone knows what tutorial I am talking about, link me? Or maybe you know how to do it and can tell me step by step.
I would reallllly appreciate any help. Thanks!

Hm, in rereading your original post, you are wanting to bake some shadows from the avatar mesh to apply to clothing you've made in PS possibly? If so (fingers crossed) this thread might also help a bit, too: /109/15/317193/1.html
