I’m trying to figure out how “llSetTextureAnim” image orientation is determined in regards to sculpted cylinders. I’ll try to post my image examples but was unable to do so yesterday. I made a cascading fountain that uses a sculpted cylinder for the water flow. When I applied the water texture I got just the effect I was looking for. However when I added a simple llSetTextureAnim script the animation motion is horizontal instead of the vertical (from top to bottom) that I’m looking for. I can change the flow orientation by using the rotation setting in the SL editor but than the image is also rotated and looks distorted.
I tried redoing the texture image rotated 90 degrees in Photoshop but the animation was still wrong. Does the xyz orientation of the sculpty when it’s uploaded to SL affect the way texture animation is applied?
