I hope it's just me and I'm doing something dumb... I do that a lot, lol. I'm making a skin and the feet I have don't completely hide the SL feet and by feet I really mean toes. I'm not sure who did the toes for SL but they really should think pedicure, lol. It's like my feet are at 60% transparency (which I checked... they aren't). Is this just a known issue? Appreciate the input and thanks to Chip and Robin. I don't know either of you but you totally rock and your templates and tutorials are the only reason I got as far as I did but I did get stuck on feet, lol. TIA!

The default hightlight, shadow, and bump mapping will show through a skin that is not fully opaque. If that is the case with your skin, you should look out for areas that carry "Body Definition" information on several of the texture files in the client character folder and either work this definition into your skin, or mask it through carefully placed highlights and shadowing of your own. I tend towards using fully opaque nails for pedicures on the feet. That's my solution, but not the only one.

Thanks Namssor, your response led me to the solution. I had body detail set at approx. 70%; the skin is fully opaque but for whatever reason that setting does come through the skin. So I just set it to 0 and did some shading of my own and problem solved :) THANKS :)

Hmm, another inconsistecy I was unaware of. It must have changed in a recent release because definition used to work beneath the tattoo layers with the one exception of the lower body freckles. Maybe LL fixed that :).
