We bought a Villa/Mexican home back in 2005 in SL and when we try to sit for example a Christmas Tree out, the textures won't show up right. It's the wall textures inside and outside the home that allows plant textures to look like they're inside the house, even a fence that is outside. Someone told me once that textures need to be either maybe .gif or .jpg, i think it was gif. Would anyone at all know where these textures could be found? I IM'd the builder to see if he would send us some, but no response yet. We could re-texture the house no problem but it's the windows on the outside that are the problem. Thank you in advance if anyone can help or suggest anything and these aren't the best pictures but here is the textures I need, also the wall texture without windows, I am almost sure someone in SL would have them...double windows, single and triple ones as well. What you're seeing is an alpha sorting problem - namely any texture that has transparency in SL will sometimes flicker if its close enough to another alpha texture, causing the texture behind to look as though its in front. It does seem to be worse with Linden trees (which have alpha properties) and unfortunately there's not much you can do about it.
You really have two options, remake the windows so that anything that should be solid (like the wood) is made from prims, and only the glass itself is an alpha texture, or else try to move anything else with an alpha texture far enough away from the windows so they don't cause alpha sorting problems.
Some builders try to save prims by designing the wall and window texture all in one - while it does save prims, you end up with an entire wall/window combo that has alpha flicker problems.
