For those of you that would like the old way for the texture picker to sort order which was by date order.
Open Client menu (in not there Shift-Ctrl-Atl-D)
Then the Debug Setting in the Client menu
Look for TexturePickerSortOrder in the Drop down.
Adjust to your preference
0 = name
1= date
2 = folders alway by name
